A cup of tea & a free printable calendar

foggyDawn

I made this when I was taking calligraphy with Timothy Botts my senior year of college. Some of the projects I spent a lot of time on, but this poster I did the day it was due (oops!) and I ended up liking it more than all the rest of my pieces!! Go figure. The cold days seem to never end in the Midwest, but there is something so calm, warm, and hopeful about holding a cup of tea especially early in the morning. It's good for morale. :) I love Chai and Earl Grey! I found this cute FREE printable coffee/tea 2014 year calendar below. You can download it and print it here or click the calendar below.

A Prince is born!

royal-baby-

Even though I'm a few days late, I had to post on the royal baby! I was so excited for Will & Kate.  Kate looked beautiful. She is such a good example of elegance and poise. Let's not get started with Will! :) It will be fun to watch little George grow up.

174290676 Thanks to my mom, my sisters and I are anglophiles!l It started long ago when we first watched the 6 hour BBC Pride and Prejudice. Then we watched all Charles Dickens movies and the love affair has only grown. My younger sister is studying abroad in Oxford, England next semester! So cool right?!! I think she'll marry an Englishman! :)

So many of my favorite people/things have come from England: Jane Austin, C.S. Lewis, William Shakespeare, J.M.W Turner (incredible landscape artist), C.H. Spurgeon, JK Rowling (ahhhhh Harry Potter!), David Beckham, Westminster Abbey, TEA!!! I've had several cups of tea this week in honor of the newest addition to The Royal Family! :) A few of my favorite English things below.

Vanilla Chai Latte Pops & a Popsicle Roundup!

GIF_LATTE_POPS1_sec

It seems like there are delicious popsicle recipes all over the web this summer! I love it. They are a cheap treat and you can make them really healthy. -Perfect if you're looking for a dessert that's not full of processed sugar. Tea is my drink of choice. I thought about making Earl Grey pops (still might attempt those) but I had this Vanilla Chai on hand, so I made these yummy chai latte pops with vanilla almond milk!

We got a popsicle mold similar to this one at Whole Foods for $9.99. I actually used a rooibos chai tea because it's naturallly decafe (had to do that so I could eat them as a late night treat)! Here's the recipe:

vanillachai

Ingredients: Chai tea, (any kind), approx. 3-5 tea bags (depending on how strong you like it)  I used this Rooibos Vanilla Chai loose leaf tea about 1/4 a cup 3 cups Vanilla Almond Milk, I used this unsweetened kind 2 tb. honey 1 tsp. vanilla extra

Bring all ingredients to a low boil and then turn down the heat. Let the tea steep for about 7 minutes. Longer if you like a strong flavor, less time if you like it lighter.  Let the tea completely cool then fill up your popsicle molds.
